TODAY

Today, our team will be taking the Student Training Corps (STC) from Word of Life camps. We did this last week, and will be doing so for the next three weeks. Unfortunately we do not take STC to New York City, however, we have plenty of ministry here in Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga, and Lake George. It requires a lot of traveling, but it's so worth it, for these teens to experience the joy of sharing their faith with someone. That opportunity is absolutely priceless!
Please Pray: Pray that in these few areas we have, that there would be many hearts that are open to the Gospel. Pray that our team would stay united and loving towards one another. Pray that I would know how to raise more support, I'm at a loss, and I'm under quota.

Thank you for reading this, and for praying for our ministry and team.

THE GOAL

The goal, is not what I do, it's who I am.

I gleaned quite a bit of wisdom from a lot of people over these past two weeks. I am taking what I thought was most important.

Sam Frey: The goal, is not what I do, it's who I am. Jesus, is calling me to be faithful. I NEED to grow into Him, and be as close to Him as possible all the time. Read, study, and pray. Grace walk = how Jesus is working out my salvation. Grace work = how I show my thankfulness. Jesus is sick of being number one in my life, He needs to be the whole kit and caboodle.

Beth Moore: Sometimes I don't feel saved! It doesn't mean I'm not. I know I have a boyfriend, because we talk everyday, I have letters from him that I read when I miss him. I should know that I am saved, by my personal relationship with God.

Veejay: Jesus endured going to the cross for us, because He wasn't looking at the cross, He was looking at the joy of our salvation, and of going to see God. When I go through spiritual discipline, I need to look at the joy of Jesus, and of my salvation. Spiritual discipline ensures in my mind that I am a child of God, and that He isn't done working in my life, and therefore, should be embraced with great joy!

I am so thankful for how God has used these few people to share such wise words with me.
That encourage me to love Him more!

Not My Words

Romans 10:14-17
But how can people call for help if they don't know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven't heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them? And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it? That's why Scripture exclaims,

A sight to take your breath away!
   Grand processions of people
telling all the good things of God!
But not everybody is ready for this, ready to see and hear and act. Isaiah asked what we all ask at one time or another: "Does anyone care, God? Is anyone listening and believing a word of it?" The point is: Before you trust, you have to listen. But unless Christ's Word is preached, there's nothing to listen to.

Please pray that as we go, we go out of love of God. That God's love inspires and encourages us to love others. We cannot do any of this in our own power to the glory of God. It was a great day in Union Square Park, a lot of tough questions and interested people. I'm still about $1,000 short of my full support, so please also pray that I will be able to stay on the team!

apprehension:

Although I am not anticipating "evil" as the word literally means. I do feel it fits quite nicely.

Oswald Chambers said something today that I found interesting "A saint realizes that it is God who engineers his circumstances; consequently there are no complaints, only unrestrained surrender to Jesus". Way to hit the nail on the head, Oswald. This is exactly what I, a saint, need to understand! I need to give up my rights to God. Even when I am potentially terrified of what is going to happen when I do.

Saturday we will be going to Vermont to train a church and then we leave for New York City on Monday. We will stay until Saturday morning when we leave for Scranton, PA.
Please pray for total surrender.

The beginning.

This is going to be very exciting! Here is a blog all about a missions trip to New York City. It is an awesome opportunity to go into all different places around New York City, Albany, Lake George, and Philadelphia. People in those area's are literally in dire need to hear the Gospel.
I will be updating this blog throughout the summer with pictures and prayer requests, so please check in, comment, ask questions, give advice, prayer, or support, etc.
